Local family restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. I ordered pancakes and bacon with coffee. It's typical diner coffee but the pancakes were the size of the plate! Glad I ordered a half stack. The bacon was nice and crispy and served was friendly and attentive. Great place full of locals.
My husband and I had breakfast here on Saturday morning. I would like to commend our server, Bret. This young man was the best. He was friendly, made eye contact, smiled and was just overall wonderful. My husband and I own an Ace Hardware in Metro Detroit, what we wouldn't give to employ a half dozen "Bret's" at our store. The food was excellent as well, but I will remember this place for it's outstanding server Bret.
Pumpkin pancakes - 15/10 Biscuits and gravy - 10 /10 Service - 18/10 Ambience - 6/10 Very much a diner place so some people might not enjoy the "ambience"so much but the food I had was wonderful. Also they were packed but the service was still great. Will definitely be making a special trip back up for those pancakes alone.
J.W. Filmore's has been around a long time. The food is constantly delicious, and well worth the wait. It's a bit slow, but it's just that kind of place. They have two servers for two sections at any given time. So please be patient, and you will be very well treated.
To tired to cook dinner after work, so I took the kiddos and Grandma out to dinner. I was craving breakfast and it was delicious. The family left stuffed and happy. Next time I'm taking them up on their special: All you can eat ocean perch and cod. Yummy The parking lot was busy but they had plenty space inside. It was clean and quiet. The waitress was friendly and fast with getting our order to us. Good customer service. The food was great. JW Filmores
This is one of those places that has probably been here forever. The food is great and reasonably priced. I got the breakfast skillet and it was delicious. Huge portions! It seems to be an older crowd and is certainly not fancy but I really liked it.
